About DiscFinder
Welcome to DiscFinder!
My name is Daniel Holmberg and I am the founder of DiscFinder – an innovative Norwegian company dedicated to improving the disc golf experience. As an avid (albeit not particularly good 🤣) disc golfer, I know the frustration of spending a lot of time looking for discs, or even losing some. After spending countless hours searching for lost discs, I got the idea to start DiscFinder – a solution that makes it easy and efficient to find every single disc.
We are located in Drøbak, where an enthusiastic team has built a great forest course that works great for me to test DiscFinder.
Innovation and development
In the fall of 2023, I began experimenting with different technologies, including Bluetooth trackers, but encountered challenges related to attachment, durability, and ease of use. Eventually, I found that sound was the best solution to locate hidden discs quickly and easily. Our solution consists of a powerful yet simple sound alarm that is activated after predefined time intervals – without the need for complicated systems like GPS or Bluetooth. This makes DiscFinder both more robust and cost-effective.
Benefits for players
With DiscFinder you can play longer, even in the fall, winter and early spring when it is more difficult to find discs due to lower light conditions and challenging terrain. In addition, other players do not have to wait while you look for discs, which contributes to a smoother and more efficient round for everyone involved.
Product and feedback
DiscFinder is easy to use, affordable, and has a long battery life with four different time settings. While we have encountered some challenges attaching the device to some discs, we have improved the instructions so that DiscFinder is securely attached in all conditions.
The feedback from our users has been overwhelmingly positive. They greatly appreciate both the time they save and the fact that they don't lose their favorite discs. We are continuously working to collect feedback to further develop future versions of DiscFinder.
Become part of our community
We encourage all disc golf enthusiasts to join our community. Follow us for updates and tips, and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or ideas. Your feedback is invaluable to us and helps us make DiscFinder even better.

With kind regards,
Daniel Holmberg

How do you use DiscFinder?
Long press : Turn on/off
Start Countdown, Short Press: A short press (or multiple presses) selects the time interval on the timer and then automatically starts the countdown. The number of beeps tells you which interval is selected.
| * 30 sec | ** 1 min | *** 2 min | **** 3 min |
Stop countdown/alarm, Short press : When the timer is running or the alarm has gone off, a short press will stop both.
The device is now in standby. If you do nothing, it will turn off after 1 minute. If you want to start the alarm again, do so with a short press, it will then use the last used interval.
Sounds : All functions have their own sound so you learn very quickly how this works.
Is DiscFinder waterproof?
We left the DiscFinder in water overnight and tested it every week for a year afterwards. So, we dare say it can withstand fresh water (not tested in salt water).
Delivery time and shipping price?
Shipping 59 by post or postnord, we choose what is fastest.
We usually ship your order no later than the next business day from our offices in Drøbak.
I live near Drøbak, can I pick up at the warehouse?
If you live in Drøbak or nearby, you are welcome to pick up, but only by appointment (please write when it suits you in the order and we will respond to you when we process the order).
Do I need anything else?
Everything you need is included. Batteries and double-sided tape/label, sandpaper and alcowipes.
DiscFinder does not use GPS or Bluetooth so you don't need a mobile phone or anything else.
Does DiscFinder start playing the song right away?
You can set the timer to 30 seconds, 1, 2 or 3 minutes. When the time is up, DiscFinder starts playing a melody and does not stop until the disc is found.
Is it possible to use DiscFinder in the winter?
With DiscFinder you can extend the season by making it easier to find the disc in snow or in leaves in the fall when it gets dark faster.
How long does the battery last?
We estimate that with normal use (that melody plays for about 1 minute 4-5 times per round) the battery will last for several seasons.
It is also possible to replace the battery (CR1632)
